"Assistant! Draft a memo. And make a powerpoint! Next season, we are making a list of all players and their value to be kept prior to the keeper deadline..."
Hey! But what we could do is have a running Google doc that is just a copy/paste of all the FA transactions. That way a simple ctrl-f would let you know about your player's history.
Luke Scott was traded for Benoit, right? I had picked him up off of waivers.
One option would be to add a list of drafted players who have been cut to my cap spreadsheet. The cutting team would be responsible and we could even implement FAAB fines ($1?) for people not keeping up with their own moves.
Also, I'm a little concerned about the number of closers kept now. Commish - I'd like to swap out Gavin Floyd for Chris Sale!
I actually didn't mean to keep Elvis Andrus. I thought he was someone else entirely. Someone a lot better! I'd like to trade him out for Kendry Morales, please.
As usual, ESPN has everything you need if you're willing to spend 30 minutes searching for it:
1. Go to the 2010 version of the league by clicking the "season" dropdown in the upper right of the page. 2. Click the tiny "draft recap" link at the top of the league page 3. Notice that Luke Scott was drafted by Smell The Glove. 4. Go to "Teams->Smell The Glove" 5. Click "Roster Summary" (tiny link at the top) 6. Click the "Transaction History" tab. This shows you the most recent transaction for all players that were on the team at some point. 7. Find Luke Scott, and see that he was dropped on April 25.
Taylor is right that the info is available, it's just that you have to look at it team by team, which is a pain in the ass. I think that a transaction log would be pretty nice- especially since everything would be in one place.

Freakin fantasy anarchy.

This is why I nominate Andrew to be the league bookkeeper. You can call him Assistant if you want to, Mark.

I actually thought ESPN kept track of it since some of the FA's didn't have keeper values - but it turned out not so much.

I was actually going to volunteer to keep track of this this year. I just have to maintain a list of dropped drafted players? Shouldn't be hard.

Well we really only need it for the drafted players. Anybody else is $10 no matter their transaction history.
What if I just create a tab in the salary cap spreadsheet? Luke - I'm perfectly happy to have you take charge in this one.
Also - we need to decide if we want to change the cap and/or institute a salary floor.
