Ha! We're in the same boat. I think the DL has officially started, but teams don't really have any incentive to put players on there until closer to the start of the season. Basically, we're screwed! I have as many as 4 guys (Piniero, Morrow, Guttierez, Aardsma)that could start on the DL, plus Nick Swisher just fouled a ball off his foot, so I feel your pain.
Players can officially be put on the DL starting March 22nd of this year. The only incentive to put them on the DL now is that they can come off sooner. I think most clubs are hoping that the players could start the season on the roster and only miss a handful of days.

Yep, Saturday and Sunday.
