Sadly, I don't think so. It's the usual rehashed, warmed over, leftover bullshit that Riley usually puts out, so it doesn't seem very out of the ordinary. Both The Hardball Times and Deadspin caught that the piece is remarkably similar to an "article"* that Riley wrote a few years ago.
* I use article in quotes since it's the sort of thing that would get rejected from the Mouth of the River (the Oyster River School Newspaper, for those of you not in the know).
