Indians recalled OF David Dellucci from Triple-A Columbus.
Dellucci replaces the injured Travis Hafner on the roster.
White Sox activated IF Jayson Nix from the disabled list.
Nix returns as part of a bevy of moves by the White Sox. He hit .400 during a rehab stint in the minors, but slots in behind starting second baseman Chris Getz for now.
Meanwhile, Brandon Wood has 5 ABs all year.

Christ. Are all MLB teams run by idiots? Unless you're super paranoid about managing LaPorta's clock, why isn't he up? And I'm not sure you do worry about it, since he's already 24 and doesn't look like he'll be a superstar. Delluci hit .230/.307/.405 last year, and that was actually an improvement over his first year with the Indians (.230/.296/.382). He's a washed up 35 year old who is finishing out the last year of his contract. What the hell are they doing playing him instead of a player who might actually have positive offensive value?
That said, I understand the decision to go with Nix over Beckham. Beckham doesn't have the minor league track record that Wood or LaPorta have, plus, Nix is potentially a useful player. Macier Izturis at DH on the other hand...
LaPorta gets called up! Although if they stick him in the wrong side of a platoon with Delucci I'll be pissed.
Vindication! Brandon Wood goes 2/3 with a walk, LaPorta gets called up.
And Aybar is hit in the face with a throw, making it even harder for the Angels to not start Wood.
It might just mean more PT for Izturis. I can only hope.
