Tie breaker according to yahoo is pretty arbitrary. I think they use ERA to break a tie so you might as well flip a coin. The following makes sense to me:
1. Fewest categories with a "1" score. If still tied.. 2. Fewest categories with a "2" score... etc.
This will essentially give the tie to the team with a better balanced team.
ERA is very arbitrary and I had no idea we used it. It is kind of ridiculous that the tie breaker settings don't show up anywhere in the league settings page.
I guess I like Mark's suggestion (it doesn't leave me totally screwed, albeit I'm still behind) although I think the tie breaker should be decided by the teams that aren't in contention.
