Enjoy, Taylor
Justin Duchscherer (elbow) didn't last an inning of a minor league game Thursday and is "virtually certain" to open the regular season on the disabled list

Sigh, it begins.
Well, at least it isn't his degenerative hip. Degenerative hip problems rarely recur, right?
I suppose you could argue that they rarely recur, but that's only because they never get better.
more good news:
the San Francisco Chronicle suggests that "exploratory surgery might be the next step."
Down goes Taylor's formidable pitching staff, since Ducherer was the key!
Of course, despite all the pitchers he drafted, Taylor's staff could implode almost instantly, between Bedard and Kazmir.
Christ, I should know how to spell Duchscherererer's name by now.
Duchscherer has exploratory surgery, out at least one month.
Lackey has an MRI that reveals elbow inflammation, will probably miss opening day. The pitchers are already dropping like flies.
Wakefield's still available. And, uh, Dontrelle Willis.
