Ouch. One rival adds David Price, JJ Hardy, and Joe Mauer while another adds Pedroia, EE, Jennings, Alexei, plus THREE starting pitchers.
Kate, if you're about to add Longoria, Cespedes, Victorino, Reed, and Peavy, just let me know so I can focus on football.

I seem to remember a similarly pessimistic post from you last year after some dump trades, before you then finished in 2nd behind the only contender that didn't make any dump trades.
Mark lost Jennings to the DL already, and is quite a distance behind you to begin with. And Andrew lost Pujols, Myers, and Peralta, which probably makes Price, Hardy, and Mauer only a slight upgrade for him. I think we tend to overestimate the overall impact of dump trades. Yes, the rosters that they produce are formidable, but they're only in play for a third of the season, during which time small sample size random chance rules.
Um, why isn't anyone talking about my upcoming comeback?
It's like when a guy's throwing a no-hitter and everyone avoids him. We don't want to jinx what you've got going right now.
