Crazy start for Yoenis. He has 7 Ks in 13 AB and three home runs. That leaves only THREE balls in play for the season. He's 1/3 on those three balls, with one double. That means his extra base hit percentage is 100%. Just nuts.
Cespedes is insane. I think it is going to be very very interesting to see how pitchers adjust to him and how he adjusts to those adjustments. Given the insane stikeout rate, you have to assume that there are holes in his swing that can be exploited.
Also, I think my favorite part of the season is the potential that is out there. Is this the year that Michael Saunders actually converts his AAA success to the majors? Will Cespedes be a 40 hr hitter? Has Markakis refound his power stroke from August 2006? There's just so much to be (irrationally) optimistic about.
My favorite moment of the season was having all my young players homer on the same day - Hosmer, Kipnis, and Moustakas each went yard. I guess today would have to be a close second, with Santana, Hosmer, and Butler combining for four. If the projections are remotely right, I'm going to need a shitload of offense from all three.
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate just how well the Red Sox are losing? A new way every day! They blew TWO different leads today, yesterday they were just totally destroyed, and on Wednesday they blew the game after coming back to tie. Who knows what fresh hell Monday will bring.

Batting .1927. It's not as easy as it looks folks. You have to draft players this bad.

Hmm, maybe having 4 pitchers go with with ERAs above 9.00 on Saturday?
My favorite part of the season now is definitely Josh Hamilton being on pace to hit .413 with 74 HR, 162 Rs, and 162 RBIs.
