Welcome to the AL

So what's the over/under on the number of Houston Astros that are drafted by this league in 2013? 1?

Well there's Wandy. And there's Wandy. And there's this W. Rodriguez fellow...

In all seriousness, Bud Norris can strike guys out, Altuve is kind of sort of interesting, plus there is who ever ends up the closer! So that's four. Anyone want to look and see what the fewest number of players drafted from one team was for last season? I'm guessing it was a lot more than 4.

Carlos Lee might be worth $1. Maybe?

It won't be pretty. The biggest impact? One more shitty closer out there!

I forgot about Lee. Honestly he could see a bit of a career rejuvenation with the help of a DH slot. And it'll help the Astros out to get him out of the field.

Except I just checked his contract, and it looks like it expires after 2012...so he may not even get a chance at it.

The closer is an obvious choice, I suppose. Maybe the o/u should be 3.

Man, they're not koining until 2013. Boo. At least they are fixing the whole NL Central teams getting screwed and AL West teams being lucky in terms of number of teams in the division. Then again, they get to play games against Astros instead of against any other team in baseball, so it's a pretty big advantage.

I'll say closer, Wandy, Altuve, Bourgeois, and Bud Norris. Maybe we'll see Brett "The Walrus" Wallace as a $1 pure upside gamble.
