Hernandez and Dye On the Block

I'd be happy to move Felix Hernandez (4) or Jermaine Dye (8) to anyone who's interested. Anyone else is available too, except almost definitely not Santana (undrafted) or Beckett (8) and probably not Matsuzaka (6). Nelson Cruz and Jed Lowrie were undrafted, and might be decent values. I'm looking for good draft picks, lower round keepers, or a big bat.

Joey Devine

I've decided to trade Joey Devine instead of Snider to anyone who needs a prospect pick. Here's what ESPN has to say - they have him ranked 9th among AL RP's:

"2009 Outlook: Devine has rebounded quite nicely since being rushed to the big leagues prematurely by the Braves a few seasons ago and giving up some high-profile homers. He came back from an early elbow injury to be absolutely lights-out down the stretch last season, setting himself up to be the likely closer for the A's this year. He'll have to beat out Brad Ziegler but has a leg up entering camp, even though manager Bob Geren says both could close games. His stuff is filthy, and, early Braves stint aside, he can keep his mistakes in the park. If his health holds out, he can be an absolute bargain among closers."

Some mid-round pick gets it done.

Also Papi is more than available if anyone wants him.

Kazmir

is also on the block.

He's really good. Pretty good. Costs a 4th rounder to keep. Costs a catcher or MI to trade for. Or something else, I don't really care.

Crawford on the block

Looking at my current team, I think I'd like to move Carl Crawford. I'm interested in a MI keeper, or maybe swapping him for a draft pick. Let me know if you are interested.

Travis Snider

I'm putting Travis Snider on the block for those that need a prospect pick (he's ranked #7 in the MLB's top prospects). Could be packaged in a bigger deal or for a draft pick. Shoot me an e-mail.

Welcome, Expansion

I'd officially like to welcome Kate (who does throw like a girl) to our league and to this blog. Kate, feel free to peruse hours of wasted chatter below on the blog historicals. We look forward to your inevitable last place finish this year, helping me to climb out of the gutter to 2nd to last.

Trading Block

I've decided to test the market for Alex Rios (11th round) and Magglio Ordonez (14th round).

I'm primarily looking for offensive players at positions of relative scarcity (C, 3B, MI). Draft position's not too important to me.

Anyone?


In addition, if anyone sees any keeper value in any of my other offensive players and is interested in them, let me know. I don't think there's much there, but who knows.
