I think things just got more interesting. Bill loses arguably his best starter (CC), and nice piece of his line-up (Kotchman) and now one of his best outfielders.
Everyone else essentially lost nothing. If anything can make it a real race, the MLB trading deadline certainly tried.

It is funny. The two guys I had kind of been expecting to lose all season long (AJ Burnett and George Sherill), end up staying put. While I ended up losing just about everyone else. In the last year I've had Dan Haren, CC Sabathia, Manny Ramirez, and Casey Kotchman traded out from under me. Not a good trade deadline for the Berkeley Hoboes. Although, I'm going to need to come up with a new name now...
Yup, part of the reason I dealt Street was that I thought there was a good chance he'd be traded. He wasn't, and a lot of the players that went were not the ones expected.
Christ, have you guys seen the SOSH thread with images of manny? Really makes it sink in. I've come around to understanding the trade, but even if the team didn't get any worse, it got a whole lot less entertaining.

Absolutely. The videos of his walk-off against the Angels last postseason really brought it home for me. It'll be a weird game tonight, and even weirder to tune into the LAD game afterwards.
There will be plenty of time to remember Manny's antics and heroics. But for right now, I can't. At least for the rest of this season Manny will be remembered by me as the 20 million dollar quitter. No other way for me to wrap my head around it.
