When is it time to give up?

So we're officially at the mid-way point of the season now and I have 7 points more than the minimum.
As a fun meaningless analysis I took the current standings and assumed that every team does the exact average of the cumulative first half performances....except for mine. MY team, instead, does the absolute best of all the first half numbers across the board...above are the results.

I have no shot. Even in that dream scenario, the Bill juggernaut would still beat me. And now that's he's zeroed in further with the Andrew dumping....odds are not good he'll be performing at the "average" (which I of course helped bring down significantly) .

But, my friends, there is still time to dream. Like Boston down 3-0 in the ALCS, already the laughing stock of the entire league, the AAA Legacy climbs on. And slowly but surely, the AAA is getting the call. And hitting the majors.

So yes, it is time to announce the return of the storied franchise Pete Rose Legacy. The AAA Legacy is no longer. And the Pete Rose Legacy does not lose. It stages improbable second half come backs. And it also has sex with the prom queen.

You have all been warned.

Spencer, Spencer, Spencer. Even as the prom king you didn't have sex with the prom queen. You had one, sort of awkard dance while wondering whether her not her date, a towering black guy that no one had ever seen before, was the jealous type.

Short of another Adam Jones for A-Rod deal, you have no shot.

Barring multiple catastrophic injuries to Bill's team, the rest of us have little to no shot.

STOP TRADING TO BILL PEOPLE!!!!

Right now, even assuming I could pull of a similar deal that Bill had with Andrew, I'd still be in a long shot to win it. Uggg.

Well, Andrew doesn't really have any incentive not to trade to me. Although at this point I don't really have too many more trading chips that I want to part with. I think the key trade deadline for me will be the MLB one, not the fantasy one. I could end up losing CC and Burnett, which would thin out my rotation depth substantially.

good thing you just added that fella lackey

There is some disincentive to trade with you. If the rest of us decide it's not worth making short term deals b/c your team is too good, Andrew won't be able to upgrade any of his keepers. He still has good players that could help teams in the short term (e.g. Rivera, Vlad) and could have used those to upgrade his current keepers.

The trade deadline is definitely lurking. Both Roberts and Bedard could go too.

Good point, Mark.

Seriously, I'm fairly pessimistic on my chances of catching Bill. Of course, I can't give up in the month of June when I'm a few points behind him. So I've gotta do things like trade Ellsbury and Clement, when in reality I should probably be hoarding guys like that.
