Monday, 1:00 AM: Leave The Fours after doing celebratory shots and watching the Celtics go up 2-0 in the NBA Finals.
Monday, 1:10 AM: Looking for someone - ANYONE - to use as MI in place of Polanco. Fck hmi! I slur to myself. Polanco is a BUM! I need someone new on this team... someone wicked awesome. How about... Estaban German! He's rotoworld's pickup of the week! Too tired/drunk to read why, but I'm sure he's the fucking SHIT. I bet he's gonna play like Leon Powe. Leon Powe is so awesome. Beat LA! Beat LA! Beat LA!
Nick Swisher said Wednesday that he's lost 11 pounds since spring training by doing cardio work in addition to lifting weights.
Meanwhile, his 726 OPS is nearly 100 points below his career mark. "I'm not a bodybuilder, but this is body business," Swisher said. "You have to take care of yourself, especially with the grind we have. You have to do the right thing."
rotoworld is sort of hilarious. i think they have like 8 writers, none of whom agree with each other or read each other's work. so they'll post conflicting opinions on people a day after each other. really not that different from talking with your friend who knows fantasy baseball..
According to the Dallas Morning News, Milton Bradley attempted to confront Royals television announcer Ryan Lefebvre in the press box following Wednesday's game due to what he believed were unfair comments made on the air.
As the Rangers' designated hitter, Bradley was able to watch the broadcast when he wasn't batting and took offense to a comparison Lefebrve made between him and Josh Hamilton. Manager Ron Washington and general manager Jon Daniels stopped Bradley before he got to Lefebvre, at which point Bradley returned to the clubhouse in tears. "All I want to do is play baseball and make a better life for my kid than I had, that's it," Bradley said. "I love all you guys. I'm strong, but I'm not that strong."
Sorry, I've been in the field all this week. I've been doing day trips, so the daily stats have been up to date. I'll try and put something together on Saturday.
Also, the Celtics are fucking amazing. They totally ripped the heart out of the Lakers tonight. Blowing a 24 point lead at home? Absolutely brutal. Mark - are you rooting for a C's win on Sunday, or not?
Still having trouble processing how the Celtics won that game last night. Completely shocked. What a game.
I still have to root for the Celtics in Game 5. This series is not over yet. If the Lakers win Game 5, Game 6 basically becomes the season. Celtics will want to avoid a Game 7 at all costs because if the Lakers win, they will have all the momentum going into a Game 7.
Stupid NBA finals format though. Game 5 should be in Boston. They have more days off between game 4 and 5 than they do between 5 and 6 when they have to travel. I don't get it.
such a great game last night. lakers fans in the office today won't even talk to me. its glorious. i've completely jumped the C's bandwagon, but have no shame in it. This is just a fun team to watch. House and Posey were huge last night.
Can you not sell your game 6 futures now? Or have you decided you are actually going. You HAVE to go. Maybe sell one of the tickets for like $500.
That is awesome. I don't know if I could show my face if I were a Lakers fan. SO embarrassing. From multiple accounts I have read, the crowd at the Staples Center was super lame last night too.
I'm not going to think about Game 6 until after Game 5. I'm not going to decide to go or sell until Game 6 is a certainty. At this point though, how could I not go? I am super pissed that I didn't buy 4 tickets. That way I could go and sell and I wouldn't have to worry about it.
In any event, it's all win/win from here. Either the Celtics win game 5 and it's over, Celtics lose and I go to game 6, Celtics lose and I make 1,000.

Ok, not as strange as this.

Milton Bradley's completely batshit. I love him.
