Yeah, no kidding. They scare me, a lot. While I'd be happy to see the Sox take all three, it is really nice to leave an AL East rival besides/in addition to the Yankees.
It sucks that we're going up against the Rays top 3 pitchers. I think the Rays make a race out of it, but the Sox end up 1 or 2 games up at the end of the year. I think that the experience on the Sox will pay dividends down the stretch in late September when they really need to put the clamp down. The Rays will win the Wild Card, Yankees miss the playoffs!
I saw that as well. Players like Juan Pierra have been successful (marginally) in MLB, so I don't understand why that wouldn't be the case for Ellsbury as well. Folks were saying similar things about Pedroia in April of last year too, and he's turned out alright (even with the precipitous decline in OBP this year, which scares the hell out of me).

does anyone else get the sense that BJ Upton hates baseball?
well that game couldn't have ended any worse for me. sox lose, percival gives up runs doesn't get the save and likely back to the DL.
awesome.
I've watched the last three red sox games, in their entirety, all ending in frustratingly close losses. I miss the Celtics.
Interesting article today about Jacoby on Baseball Prospectus. I hope Sheehan is wrong.

" I feel like I traded him at a high point."
Woohoo!
And that's all I can read, since I let my BP subscription expire.
