And can they tell me how bad Ellsbury's wrist injury is? With Coco ejected, the outfield D went from spectacular (from LF to RF: Jacoby, Coco, Drew), to horrendous (LF to RF: C. Carter [yikes], JD Drew, Youkilis). The thought of Youkilis as a RF is terrifying. And everything I read about Carter said his real position was probably DH. Christ. Hopefully Coco won't get suspended for too long, and Ellsbury will be OK in a week or so.

x-rays negative. what a game. wish i coulda been at fenway for this one i bet it would have been an easy ticket with the c's game on tonight too. not sure coco should have charged, but it was well worth the entertainment.
Coco definitely overreacted, but I didn't really care. It was enjoyable.
Ellsbury's getting further tests today, probably an MRI. I wouldn't be surprised if he misses some time after all. There are a lot of things that can go wrong that wouldn't necessarily show up on a radiograph.
I really don't need another hand injury to my team right now.
What a crazy night in Boston. After a relatively injury free year last year, this season is going south fast. Youk can't play the outfield. Can't they call up Moss? Is that even an upgrade? Coco will get hit with a 5 game suspension but he can appeal while Jacoby is recovering. Any speculation as to why Manny and Youk went at it?
Moss comes up today. He's been solid in AAA so far.
There were two rumors about Youk and Manny - first, that Youk was bitching about having to play the outfield and Manny took exception. Second, that Youk called him out for being slow to get out to the brawl. I don't really buy either of them.
(Carter's headed back down for Moss, which is a bit of a shame.)
Apparently the Youk/Manny altercation was over how Youk throws a tantrum every time he has a bad at bat (which he definitely does). I'm surprised that Manny even cared, but maybe he is showing a bit of leadership here. From the grainy NESN footage it looks like Manny backhands Youk more than throws a punch.
