There is no doubt that me taking Hafner over Manny looks is shaping up to be an absolute disaster, but my question is how much does Hafner have left? It's been a rough start to the season and after a down 2007. That said, he's only a year removed from hitting 42 homeruns in 452 at bats (an insane 1/11 AB) and is only 30.
Alright everyone, feel free to disparage my player, then attempt to trade for him for pennies on the dollar.

I wouldn't worry to much about Hafner. He's had a slow start, but he's gonna get you the homeruns when all is said and done. He had 2 months last year with 3 or fewer home runs and 2 months with a sub .230 avg and still ended up with 24 homeruns and 100 RBI.

I think 30+ homeruns is a bit of a stretch, but I would expect similar numbers as last year.

With that said, I think I went the right way with Morneau. .270, 6 hr, 21 rbi. Looks like giving him a second chance will pay off.

i was sort of annoyed when you took hafner over manny, but obviously am happy with the way things have worked out thus far. he'll get hot though. does he take up your utility spot as well? that is always annoying.

plus, when manny starts taking weeks at a time off for no reason in fantasy crunch time (assuming i'm remotely in the running), you'll enjoy having pronk...

Actually, one of the reasons I drafted Hafner is because he wouldn't take up my utility spot and because I thought 1B was pretty thin. Unlike Thome (who was a full time DH last year), Hafner made enough starts at 1B last year to qualify.
